This is a CD based on traditional Indian soul music in the popular style of ancient Indian Mystics. The mystic experience of bhakti (adoration) has been one of the most potent forces behind Indian culture with the Godhead as the Adored or Beloved and the human soul, the devotee. Two immortal compositions are by well known Indian Mystic poets:
- Jo bhaje Hari Ko Sadaa – was composed and sung by the great poet Bramhanand.
- Vaishnav Jan To Tene Kahiye – written by the famous Gujarati poet Narsi Mehta was one of Mahatma Gandhi’s favorite songs.
The songs have been set to tune by the Internationally renown Indian composer and singer Anup Jalota and sung in her unique lilting and romantic style by the famous Indian singer Rajasree Mukherjee.
